Salumificio Menotti was born in 1967 in Colosimi, a village at the foot of the Plateau Silano, where the air is still fresh and unspoiled.
Today, as then, the family Caligiuri continues to produce sausages according to the old recipe handed down from his father, Menotti Caligiuri, and based on the craftsmanship of genuine meats and subsidiaries, flavored only with local aromatic ingredients, such as chili calabrese certificate, and bagged in gut tied by hand with twine. A long and careful maturing, made of carefully conditioned environments, it gives the products Menotti that taste of tradition with a unique flavor and unmistakable.
The sausage factory produces four D.O.P. Calabrian sausage from Calabria, flagship, bacon, capocollo and brawn.
Other products of equally high quality are: esplanade and bacon, pancetta and rolled, brawn kind, fillet, ham and the new "smoked".
The company strictly observes all the strict application of the HACCP system; also sensitive to issues related to food intolerance, guarantees sausages gluten and dairy.
Menotti is adherent to the Consortium of Natural Gut and founding member of the Consortium of Salumi di Calabria DOP.
